Conditions of Use
Information regarding returns for private consumers from the EU and Switzerland:
The following applies:
7 Workdays – Austria, France, Ireland, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Slovakia, Spain and the UK.
8 Workdays – Hungary
10 Days – Poland
10 Workdays – Greece, Italy
14 Days – Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Portugal, Sweden, Latvia, Belgium
15 Days – Malta and Slovania
Further rules:
Belgium – The return must be completed within 14 workdays from the day after the product has been delivered. When a courier service is needed, the period begins the day after the consumer has been notified. The consumer is responsible for the direct costs of the return postage unless the provider did not provide satisfactory information, or if the delivered goods do not match the product description of the ordered goods.
Denmark – The return must be completed within 14 days from the day the product has been delivered. In the case that a courier service is needed, the period begins the day after the customer has been notified for delivery. The consumer is responsible for the full cost of return postage.
Finland – The return must be completed within 14 days from the day the product has been delivered. In the case that a courier service is needed, the period begins the day after the customer has been notified for delivery. In the case that the product is delivered on a weekend or holiday the period begins on the following workday. The provider must replace the consumers shipping cost provided that the return can be transported with normal postage.
France - The return must be completed within 7 days from the day the product has been delivered. In the case that a courier service is needed, the period begins the day after the customer has been notified for delivery. In the case that the product is delivered on a weekend or holiday the period begins on the following workday. The consumer is responsible for the full cost of the return postage.
Greece – The return must be completed within 10 days from the day the product has been delivered. In the case where a courier service is used the period begins on the day the consumer has received the goods and signed for them. Those applying for Article 6 (3) of the EU Distance Sales 97/7* are not excluded from these rules. The consumer must cover the full cost of the return postage and must return the goods in new condition.
Great Britain - The return must be completed within 7 workdays from the day the product has been delivered. In the case where a courier service is used the period begins on the day the consumer has received the goods and signed for them. The consumer is responsible for the full return shipping cost. If there is a written agreement in the case of the provider demanding a recall the customer must also pay the shipping. If not, the provider must cover the cost.
Ireland - The return must be completed within 7 workdays from the day the product has been delivered. In the case where a courier service is used the period begins on the day the consumer has received the goods and signed for them. The consumer is responsible for the full return shipping cost.
Italy - The return must be completed within 10 workdays from the day the product has been delivered. In the case where a courier service is used the period begins on the day the consumer has received the goods and signed for them. A return can only be made if the customer sends the online shop a request in writing and with proof of delivery date. The customer is also responsible for the return shipping costs.
Luxemburg - The return must be completed within 7 workdays from the day the product has been delivered. In the case where a courier service is used the period begins on the day the consumer has received the goods and signed for them. The consumer is responsible for the full return shipping cost
Netherlands – The return must be completed within 7 workdays from the day the product has been delivered. The exception in Article 6 (3) of the EU – Distance Selling 97/7* is restricted, and alternate agreements are not accepted. The customer bears the cost of the return postage.
Austria - The return must be completed within 7 workdays from the day the product has been delivered. In the case where a courier service is used the period begins on the day the consumer has received the goods and signed for them. In the case of a recall from the Online shop customer is immediately responsible for all costs of services rendered. The consumer is responsible for the full return shipping cost
Portugal - The return must be completed within 14 days from the day the product has been delivered. In the case where a courier service is used the period begins on the day the consumer has received the goods and signed for them. The customer is responsible that the returned goods remain in new condition. The customer must fill out a return form and give proof of the delivery date. The customer is also responsible for the costs of the return.
Sweden - The return must be completed within 14 days from the day the product has been delivered. The customer is also responsible for the costs of the return.
Spain - The return must be completed within 7 workdays from the day the product has been delivered. In the case of a return, the online shop must give full refund of the return within 30 days of the return, the consumer is entitled to double the cost of the initial order. The customer is also responsible for the costs of the return.
Switzerland – There is no legal relegations on returns for Distance Selling.
Article 6 (3) of the EU Distance Sales 97/7 - Unless the parties have agreed otherwise, the consumer may not exercise the right of withdrawal provided for in paragraph 1 in respect of contracts:
- for the provision of services if performance has begun, with the consumer's agreement, before the end of the seven working day period referred to in paragraph 1,
- for the supply of goods or services the price of which is dependent on fluctuations in the financial market which cannot be controlled by the supplier,
- for the supply of goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalized or which, by reason of their nature, cannot be returned or are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly,
- for the supply of audio or video recordings or computer software which were unsealed by the consumer,
- for the supply of newspapers, periodicals and magazines,
- for gaming and lottery services.
